Zonk
schon seit einigen Wochen läuft auf meinem MacBookPro 7,1 Ubuntu 11.10. Nach einigen pre-Alpha Schwierigkeiten ist nun soweit alles problemfrei.
Das neue Release kann also kommen!
Natürlich habe ich nach wie vor einige Anpassungen installiert (mactel ppa) und manuell die nötigen Kernel Optionen für besseres Booten und Powermanagement hinzugefügt. Allerdings ist wenigstens das Hybrid-WLAN Powersave-Problem behoben. Horray!

Ich mag Unity! Erfolgreich am MacBook auf Ubuntu 11.04. Es waren allerdings diverse manuelle arbeiten bezüglich WLAN Treiber (Power-Management) und Nvidia Treiber (Bildschirmhelligkeit) nötig.
Als Tipp: Wer das Globale Menü nicht mag, oder so wie ich “Focus follows Mouse” benutzt – man kann das Teil deinstallieren (apt-get remove indicator-appmenu).
Ansonsten hab ich noch dieses Script um den Hybrid-WLAN Treiber nach Kernel Updates wider zu tauschen:

Natürlich vorher Treiber runterladen und entpacken

Irgendwann sollte das dann auch alles unter https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBook zu finden sein.
Mein System daheim läuft jetzt mit Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid. Habe noch nicht entschieden ob ich es jetzt gut oder schlecht finden soll das der Button zum Fenster schließen jetzt Links is. Funktioniert aber alles ohne Probleme genauso wie das Upgrade von 9.10. Gute Arbeit!
Nach einigen Problemen mit dem Server ist das Blog jetzt wieder online. Konnte mich nicht wirklich vorher drum kümmern.

Ich stöbere gerade durch den soeben veröffentlichen Code des Steuercomputers von Apollo 11. Also der Code der das Teil auf den Mond gebracht hat. Das ist richtig viel Assembler Code, welcher manuell von einem Buch aus dem MIT-Museum eingescannt wurde. Wahnsinn und irgendwie spannend durch den Code zu blättern.
Eigentlich bin ich ja DTM-Fan. Eben auch das Rennen in Zandvoort angeschaut. Die Audi Jahreswagen wurden wie es aussieht kurz vor Schluss zurück gepfiffen. Echtes Racing geht anders, vor allem im 4ten Rennen.
Mal wieder falsch geparkt (5€) und die liebe Polizei hat bemerkt das die Nummer auf der schönen und relativ bis völlig sinnfreien Umweltplakette nicht stimmt. Ergebnis war ne Postkarte und nen netter Brief was das denn solle? Ist es allen ernstes wichtig das darauf die richtige KFZ-Nummer steht? Bei jeder Ummeldung also Ding ab und neues drauf? Es ist ja nicht so das ich keine neue Plakette hätte (liegt im Handschuhfach) – die alte geht halt nicht ab da blöderweise ohne Labello verklebt. Bin gespannt was das am Ende kosten wird.
Absofort kann ich auch von unterwegs (mobil) bloggen. nice
