Thanks for reporting this. Looks like i was too hasty stating that it installes on 12.04 also. Try installing libicu42 manually for now using the one from maverick or lucid.

I will be adding libicu42 to the ppa also, so it automatically resolves.

Hello,

Sorry for writing in english.
I tried to install this package in ubuntu 12.04 but found the following problem.

W: Failed to fetch zzzz://ppa.launchpad.net/longsleep/couchdb/ubuntu/dists/precise/main/source/Sources 404 Not Found
W: Failed to fetch zzzz://ppa.launchpad.net/longsleep/couchdb/ubuntu/dists/precise/main/binary-amd64/Packages 404 Not Found
W: Failed to fetch zzzz://ppa.launchpad.net/longsleep/couchdb/ubuntu/dists/precise/main/binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found

I changed the the ppa url to point to
deb zzzz://ppa.launchpad.net/longsleep/couchdb/ubuntu lucid main
deb-src zzzz://ppa.launchpad.net/longsleep/couchdb/ubuntu lucid main

but when installing the following error occured…
$ sudo apt-get install couchdb
Reading package lists… Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information… Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

any ideas?
(replaced the http by zzz BTW as workpress thinks my message is spammy…)

Mich würde die CO² Bilanz des Streiktages intressieren. Warscheinlich wurden die Grenzwerte gleich für einen ganzen Monats überschritten, da quasi 2/3 des Tages, Stuttgart City ein einziger Dauerstau war. Gut die Zoten hielten sich in Grenzen, die No-Angels haben gewonnen und alle sind glücklich und zufrieden. Da blöderweise gleichzeitig Fußball lief, konnte ich der Veranstaltung nicht richtig folgen. Aber sie schien mir doch deutlich moderner und weniger peinlich als vergangenes Jahr.

Mhm ich und die Rechtschreibung, ich glaube dieses Blog tut in allererster Linie mal mir selbst und meiner Fähigkeit, korrektes Deutsch zu schreiben gut … Besonders die Gross- und Kleinschreibung hat so ihre Tücken, die mich relativ bis stark nerven, nachdem ich jahrelang fast nur englische Texte verfasst habe.
